From 1/21/2022 09:00 UTC
- Improvements to memory usage
- Reworked the memory dumping processing for the map during battles
■Future Adjustment to Address Stability Issues
We have identified several areas we believe to be causing the stability issues. See below for details.
We have looked into server performance and have not found any evidence that the servers are causing issues with stability.
●Areas That May Be Causing Issues
➀ Rapid loading of graphics for battle effects, buildings, etc.
② Memory of images outside the visual display area being retained
③ Storage of information of other player actions during team matches
④ Accumulation of unnecessary data as a result of participating in multiple matches back to back
In this update, we are mainly focused on addressing ②; however, we will make adjustments to alleviate the other issues going forward.
We intend to work on optimization of the entire game to improve stability. Specifically, we intend to maximize memory performance for iOS 15 and future iOS versions. We also intend to expand the options for graphic quality settings and other game environments settings such as battle effects.
We plan to implement the above updates before 2/16. Once we have more information on these points, we will issue a further update notice. (We plan to undertake maintenance to make these adjustments.)
It will require time for us to identify each of the problems causing stability issues and resolve them, but we would like to reassure players that we are dedicated to fixing these issues and improving the overall experience of FINAL FANTASY VII THE FIRST SOLDIER.
[Regarding Feedback and Requests]
We would first like to apologize for the inconveniences caused by stability issues and thank you for sticking with us while we work to address them.
We also would like to thank you for all your invaluable comments and feedback.
We make a concerted effort to listen to all feedback we receive. We may occasionally request feedback in the form of a survey or via other means, but generally we consolidate feedback through inquiries to our support center.
Attempting to use other methods such as through a third party may result in your feedback not reaching us, so please contact us via the below link for all forms of feedback including bug reports.
< Inquiries >
We have received a number of reports from players exclaiming that feedback provided by others on Twitter or via video platforms has not reached us, but please note we only keep records of inquiries that come to us directly from players submitting feedback through our official inquiries page.
As a result, we do not gather and keep records of feedback sent to us via third party platforms.
This is so that we can address each inquiry properly and follow up with the person submitting the inquiry should we need more information to help us resolve the issue.
If you have anything you would like to share with us, no matter how trivial, please contact us via the official inquiries page listed above.
